Raspberry Smoothie

1 cup

Low-fat milk

2/3 cup

Raspberries, unsweetened, frozen

2 cup

Low-fat cottage cheese

1 tsp

Vanilla extract

1 1/2 tsp


2 whole

Ice cubes

2 to 3 drops

Almond or vanilla extract (optional)

1.Put all of the ingredients into a blender.

2.Blend for 45 seconds or until your smoothie is creamy and smooth.

3.Pour into a tall glass and enjoy.

Makes 2 servings. Food Guide Pyramid servings: 1 fruit, 1.5 dairy.

Hint: Replace raspberries with strawberries, or blueberries, or any other fruit you like.
